Night Vision Cameras are light-level electro-optical devices that enable video footage to be taken under low-light conditions or total darkness. These cameras are a great way to monitor, control and safeguard building entrances and rural perimeters, or supervise a sleeping infant in a dark room. Night Vision Cameras are generally employed by the military services for surveillance and intelligence, inspecting activities at night or in poor visibility settings.
Most of the Night Vision Cameras have built-in infrared illuminators that provide detailed imagery in complete darkness conditions. These cameras transform low level of light entering theses cameras through an objective lens, into electrical energy. It then hits a photo cathode with a high-energy charge that accelerates across a vacuum and strikes a phosphor screen. The phosphor screen in turn directs the image, which is magnified by the eyepiece.
These cameras are available in black and white and colour. Colour Night Vision Cameras activities in near darkness. These cameras film in colour during day time and then record using night vision technology at night. Independent Illuminators cannot be detected by the human eye and appears to be pitch-black to an intruder. However, it would appear completely illuminated to the video camera and the viewer and will allow the camera to see clearly, even in absolute darkness.
Night Vision Cameras are additionally used in applications like medical imaging and spectroscopy. Wireless night vision cameras can be held on a person or left anywhere to film the activities happening near the camera. Other types of Night Vision Cameras include motion sensor cameras that start recording once they identify motion. This eliminates recording time required for large periods of as it only records during periods of motion. There are also mobile spy night cameras that can be placed anywhere for recording in any darkened area.
