Cabinet Knobs - Changing Your Kitchen the Easy Way

Its a fact of life. You are going to use your kitchen cabinets over and over again, day after day, and that means the cabinet knobs are going to start to look dingy from use.
Whether they are in the kitchen or in a bathroom, those cabinet knobs get a lot of use. Unfortunately, the hands using them are not always clean. When you are cooking a meal and need to get a few ingredients you forgot to pull out of the shelves, you are going to put your hands, which may have some of the initial ingredients on them, on those cabinet knobs. In the bathroom, after shaving, you will grab a hold of the cabinet knobs to put things away. Any shaving cream residue on your hands is now residue on the cabinet knobs.
Even if your hands are clean, you are still getting oil from your skin on the cabinet knobs. Theres really not way to prevent this, short of putting on cloth gloves every time you need to touch the cabinet knobs, which is not a convenient way to get things done.
You need to be ready to replace the cabinet knobs when the time comes. You dont want them to be detracting from your dcor; you want them to spice up the room.
Replacing the cabinet knobs is one of the first things decorators advise when it comes to sprucing up a room and making it look new again. A simple set of new cabinet knobs can take years off of the appearance of the cabinetry.
You want to make sure the cabinet knobs you choose will go with the existing dcor you have in the house. Luckily there are a seemingly endless number of dcor options available in cabinet knobs. From country and antique looking cabinet knobs, to modern or novelty cabinet knobs, there is no shortage of variety.
When you are ready to fit new cabinet knobs in your home, there are a couple of ways to do this.
First, you can look to replace the knobs you have with something of a similar size. This is the easiest way to go about replacing cabinet knobs. Take one of the old cabinet knobs with you when you go shopping and look for knobs that are the same size and have similar fittings so you will have little to no work to do to replace them. They will just fit in where the others came out.
The second option is to totally change up your cabinets. For this you can find any cabinet knobs you like and then use wood filler to fill up the holes from the old cabinet knobs and put the new knobs in to action. Afterwards you can refinish the cabinet and it will look just like new. The benefit to this type of replacement of cabinet knobs is that if your initial knobs were in places that you didnt like, (industry standards are not always the best) you can put the knobs where you would prefer them to be.
